The Leadership Challenge® Workshop is an evidence-based program designed to develop extraordinary leaders who will work hard, trust management, and feel like they are making a difference. The framework was first popularized by the best-selling book The Leadership Challenge (now in it’s 6th edition). The authors James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner have been researching leadership for nearly 40 years. They have collected more than 5,000 case studies from all over the word after asking leaders about the actions they utilize and behaviors they exhibit when achieving a personal best. This research inspired their leadership development framework—The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®.
Leadership is measurable. Leadership can be learned. These are the philosophical underpinnings of The Leadership Challenge®. The tool at the center of this point of view is the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®). This simple, yet powerful 360-degree assessment has been completed by over one million leaders and observers. When leaders receive feedback on 30 behavioral items that make up the LPI, they see their strengths and the areas in which they can do better.

Delivering The Leadership Challenge® Workshop - Pathway to Mastery
Once you’ve experienced The Leadership Challenge® Workshop and the Leadership Practices Inventory®, you know the life-changing impact that these experiences can have for leaders at every level. If you want to go deeper, learn more, and become a champion of The Leadership Challenge®, consider becoming a Certified Facilitator. This intensive Certified-Master-in-Training (CMIT) mentoring process takes place over a minimum of 18 months to 2 years and will pair you with other leaders in The Leadership Challenge Community, provide you the opportunity to collaborate with Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, as well as with a primary and secondary mentor and “outsight” mentors, in addition to the leaders at The Leadership Challenge®, A Wiley Brand.
